Podcast: Alex Reimer from WEEI in Boston

Shooting the Shit

On this episode of the Shooting the Shit Podcast, Matt Keller was joined by fellow Boston native and WEEI Brand Personality (and former contributor to TheLead) Alex Reimer. Alex is a prolific writer for WEEI.com and often appears on the Kirk and Callahan show, one of the highest rated morning drive shows in the country. He also co-hosts the Two Outs podcast with Steve Buckley.

They discussed Alex’s meteoric rise through the media landscape, what it was like to appear on The Tonight Show as an adolescent, how he picks which stories to write about, dealing with critics on social media, whether or not Boston is as racist as it’s reputation, and the ongoing battle between ESPN and Boston fans. Finally, to wrap it up they cover a few recent events in sports media (specifically how Tony Romo will do as the lead analyst on CBS).

You can follow Alex on Twitter @AlexReimer1 and find his (voluminous) column archive here.
